When you read it is important to make connections. These connections help you comprehend the text. Comprehend means to understand and remember what you read.
You can make connections by making -
a text to self connection.
a text to text connection. Or a
a text to world connection.

um...ok and also what numper comes after 999,999,999,999 or is there such thing as a next number?
1,000,000,000,000
Do you know how to say this number?
P.S. Numbers go on for ever and ever!
Numbers are crazy... not only is there always a NEXT number forever and ever - there is also a BEFORE number forever and ever!
Just start with 10, for example. What comes before 10? 9. What comes before 9? 8. Etc. Keep going and tell me what you end up with!
PS Awesome question, Dylan. That's what math is all about: asking questions.
